The Revamped Pharmaceutical Technology Upgradation Assistance Scheme (RPTUAS) is a government program to help medicine-making companies improve their machines and factories. The goal is to make sure these companies follow the latest safety and quality rules so they can make better medicines. This scheme gives financial help to upgrade their technology and meet global standards.
Objectives

Eligible Beneficiaries

☉ Existing pharmaceutical companies in India with an average turnover of less than ₹500 crore in the last 3 years.
- ☉ Small and medium companies (MSMEs) are given preference, but any company under the turnover limit can apply.
Eligible Activities
You can get financial help for spending money (after January 1, 2024) on things like:

☉ Upgrading systems like air conditioning (HVAC), water, steam, and electricity supply.
- ☉ Building or improving clean rooms, testing labs, and storage rooms for medicines.

- ☉ Paying for expert advice and getting certificates like WHO-GMP.

Benefits

☉ Subsidy Amount:
☉ If your turnover is less than ₹50 crore, you get 20% of your investment back (up to ₹2 crore).
☉ If turnover is ₹50 crore to less than ₹250 crore, you get 15% back (up to ₹2 crore).
☉ If turnover is ₹250 crore to less than ₹500 crore, you get 10% back (up to ₹2 crore).
- ☉ Payment: The subsidy is paid in two parts — half after the first check, and the rest after the final check.
- ☉ Easy to Use: The subsidy is given as reimbursement, which means you pay first and get money back later.
- ☉ You can also get extra help from your state government schemes.
