Magnet Scheme

The Maharashtra Agri-Business Network Project (MAGNET Scheme) is a big government project to help farmers and agri-businesses in Maharashtra grow and earn more. The scheme mainly supports Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and agri-businesses working with fruits and vegetables like banana, pomegranate, orange, strawberry, and more. MAGNET helps by giving money, training, and better infrastructure like cold storages and packhouses, so farmers can store, process, and sell their produce at better prices. The project also connects farmers to bigger markets and helps them use new technology for farming and business.

Eligible Activities

  • Building and upgrading cold storages, packhouses, and warehouses.
  • Buying and using new machines for cleaning, grading, and packing produce.
  • Setting up transport and logistics for moving farm produce.
  • Training for FPOs and farmers on better farming, business, and marketing.
  • Getting help with loans and matching grants for business activities.

Apply for MAGNET Scheme

  • Interested Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), agri-business companies, or private players should contact the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) or visit their district-level office for guidance.
  • Download the official application form and guidelines from the MSAMB website or get them from the MSAMB office.
  • Fill out the application form with details about your organization, project proposal, and funding needs.
  • Attach all required documents with your application.
  • Submit the completed application and documents to the MSAMB office or as directed in the scheme guidelines.
  • Your application will be reviewed, and if eligible, you will be contacted for the next steps, including project evaluation and approval.

  • Registration certificate of the FPO, company, or organization.
  • Detailed project report (DPR) explaining your business plan, activities, and expected outcomes.PAN card of the organization and key promoters.
  • Aadhaar card or valid ID proof of main promoters or directors.
  • Bank account details and recent bank statements of the organization.
  • Land ownership or lease documents for the proposed project location.
  • Quotation or estimates for machinery, equipment, or infrastructure to be created.
  • Board resolution or official letter authorizing the application (for FPOs/companies).
  • List of members (for FPOs) or shareholders (for companies).
  • Audited financial statements for the last 2-3 years (if available).
  • Any other documents as specified by MSAMB or mentioned in the application form.
