Champion Service Sector Scheme

The Champion Service Sector Scheme (CSSS) is a start by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, designed to improve India’s medical value travel (MVT) sector, with a special focus on the Indian systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH). The scheme aims to position India as a global hub for medical tourism by supporting the establishment of world-class AYUSH hospitals and day care centres, and by developing skilled manpower in the sector.

Objectives

  • Promote Medical Tourism: Increase India’s appeal as a destination for medical value travel, especially for traditional and alternative medicine.
  • Establish AYUSH Facilities: Provide financial assistance for setting up super speciality hospitals and day care centres offering AYUSH treatments.
  • Skill Development: Bridge the gap in skilled human resources through targeted training and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Export Promotion: Helps the export of AYUSH services and products, contributing to the country’s economic growth.

Financial Assistance

  • Support for private hospitals, healthcare institutions, and investors to establish or upgrade AYUSH hospitals and day care centers.
  • Funding covers infrastructure development, purchase of equipment, and capacity building.

  • Private hospitals, institutions, and investors engaged in developing or operating Ayurvedic, Naturopathy, and Homoeopathy treatment facilities.

  • Must avail a Term Loan to access this Interest Subsidy.
