About the Scheme
The Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) was launched by the Government of India under the Atmanirbhar Bharat package. It provides financial support for setting up and modernizing infrastructure in the animal husbandry sector, covering dairy processing, meat processing, and animal feed plants. The scheme strengthens the value chain, improves quality standards, reduces wastage, promotes entrepreneurship, and creates employment opportunities in rural areas.

Benefits
- • Loan up to 90% of project cost
- • 3% interest subvention
- • Credit Guarantee Fund for MSMEs (up to 25% coverage)
- • Repayment up to 8 years (including 2-year moratorium)
- • ₹15,000 crore funding corpus
